- darkman was adding additional complexity to the theming
- most graphical applications already relied on gtk anyways
- using the gtk the theme to set the colorscheme makes it more consistent

- Making nixpkgs use the local registry instead of downloading from
github from home manager this makes sure that home manager and nixos
use the same derivations for any given package
